Description

It is the spring of 1922 and shy, reserved Nick Carroway has just moved out east to become a bond salesman. Nick is immediately enthralled by the lavish parties that his next door neighbor, the multi-millionaire Jay Gatsby, throws at his luxurious mansion. Gatsby is living the American Dream. He has absolutely everything, except the one thing he truly wants.

The love of his life, Daisy, is married to former football star Tom Buchanan. But she's also friends with Nick. Can Nick bring Gatsby and Daisy together? And if so, at what cost? A tale of bootleg drinks, fast cars, and lost love. Outcry Youth Theatre's brand new adaptation brings the roaring twenties to life, a century later.

Written by Jason and Becca Johnson-Spinos; based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald; and directed by Becca Johnson-Spinos. Staged by local teens ages 12–18.
