Additional Information

Description

North Central Ballet invites families across North Texas to experience The Gentle Nutcracker, a specially adapted, sensory-friendly performance designed to make the magic of ballet accessible to all audiences, including those with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorders, or other developmental differences.

The performance will take place Sunday, December 14 at 6:30pm at the IM Terrell Performing Arts Center in Fort Worth.

The Gentle Nutcracker offers a welcoming environment for every child and family to enjoy the timeless story of Clara and her beloved Nutcracker. The production has been thoughtfully modified with:
-Lowered music volume and gentle lighting
-Relaxed theater environment — audience members may move, talk, or take breaks as needed
-A shortened performance time for comfort and attention span
-Designated quiet areas staffed by volunteers

Now in its 31st annual production, North Central Ballet’s Nutcracker is one of the region’s most beloved holiday events, known for its talented dancers, stunning costumes, and heartfelt community outreach. You can see it on stage also on December 19 & 20.
