The eighth annual Stepping Up 5K/1-mile fun run benefiting the Center for ASD (Achieving Self Development) is at Bess Race Elementary in Crowley. Enjoy a fun filled day with the family walking or running in honor of your loved one with special needs. There will also be games, face painting, food, a petting zoo, shopping and many other activities for all to enjoy.
Registration begins at 8am, 1-mile at 9:30am, 5K at 10:15am and awards at 11:30am. $15 per person or $25 with event T-shirt. Sign up online at centerforasd.org.
All proceeds from the event benefit special needs children/ adults and their families. The Center for ASD offers music therapy, licensed counseling, social skills groups, respite, parent support groups, X-CEL home-school option/day program, family field trips at reduced rates and more.
