Better Blocks Spring Storytelling Festival

Come enjoy the Spring Festival of Storytelling at the TBK Bank Plaza in Vickery Meadow. This Spring Break kickoff will feature a popup newsroom, Free Library, live story presentations, theater performances, music, and art workshops. Food and drink items will be available for sale. This event is free and open to anyone who would like to attend.

The Spring Storytelling Festival is supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. Presented by the Better Block Foundation, which works to change the world block by block by:​
-Implementing traditional Better Blocks, which are 90-120 day community engagement projects that end with transformation of a space chosen by and designed with the community.
-Creating custom-designed, beautiful elements that activate spaces and are easy to build by community members.
-Open-sourcing ideas, such as digitally fabricated street furniture designs, so that the reach of the Better Block goes far beyond our team.
-Applying CPTED principles to reduce crime through environmental design.
-Activating spaces quickly and efficiently with the Better Block in a Box, a mobile placemaking unit that can be shipped straight to your neighborhood.
