¡Soltar! is an interactive pageant and procession, the first-ever co-production of Cara Mía Theatre and Teatro Dallas is a magical pageant and interactive procession to celebrate spring and the human spirit, marking the spring equinox and a period of hope after 12 months of the pandemic.

Observing safety precautions, this outdoor, arts experience features an eclectic array of Mexican masks, mojigangas (large puppets), dance and theatre with costumes provided for audience members to actively participate in the festivities.

¡Soltar! is a chance to collectively experience joy, unity and hope as a community while embracing ancient rites of spring in a contemporary update. All patrons are encouraged to dress in the spirit of carnival with costumes, hats, masks and/or vibrant colors.

All participants need to reserve their tickets ahead of time, as only a limited number of individuals will be allowed to join. Tickets will not be sold at the door and must be purchased ahead of time.

Held Saturdays April 17 and 24 at the Latino Cultural Center. This experience includes a processional that involves two 10 minute walks to and from Exall Park. Comfortable shoes are suggested.

Please meet at the Exall Recreation Center, located at 1355 Adair St, Dallas, TX 75204. Free lot parking and free street parking available. Check-in at Exall Recreation Center begins promptly at 2pm.
