This year, the experience will be better than ever, with new features in the exhibit and behind the scenes. The custom reservation system, which begins taking reservations on Friday, Sept. 16, has been enhanced to ensure a memorable Santa experience and substantially less wait time. And, while reservations are strongly recommended, a new walk-up virtual queue allows last-minute guests to minimize their wait times, too.

Both Santaland and SNOWDAY are open to the public beginning Friday, Nov. 18. Santaland will be open through December 24. SNOWDAY will remain open through January 8, 2023. Visit for reservations.

Galleria Dallas shoppers wishing to visit Santa will again be transported to the North Pole via the Santaland Express. While onboard, the conductor will revile travelers with holiday tales as all new scenery flashes by your train windows. Upon arrival at the North Pole Station, visitors will be led through a wintery wonderland on their way to Santa’s Chalet. Private visits with Santa are magical, as the custom technology ensures that he knows each child’s wish list and more.

Guests wishing to share a special Feliz Navidad with a Spanish-speaking Santa can book appointments for the evenings of Dec. 1, 8 and 15. Those hoping to share a Santa photo with their furry friend can visit Santa Paws on Wednesday nights throughout the holiday season. For families with children on the spectrum or with special needs, a special complimentary Santa Cares event on Sunday, Dec. 18 before the shopping center is open to the public provides a private, quiet experience without as much sensory disruption.

When visitors finish sharing their holiday wishes with Santa, they will instantly receive their photographs digitally, or they can receive holiday prints onsite. SNOWDAY merchandise and props perfect for styling your Insta and TikTok experiences in the space will also be available for purchase.

While SNOWDAY, the mythical city of Elves who work at the North Pole, will still include favorite features, including the Tipsy Elf, the full-sized pub catering to the elfin population, mind-bending strolls through a sea of Christmas lights and Instagrammable settings like the elegant White Christmas room, there are nearly a dozen new visuals. Pop culture fans will love the re-imagined RV straight out of the recent season of Stranger Things and the Griswold-inspired front porch perfect for your awkward family photo.

Enter that home, and you’ll find a holiday scene turned topsy turvy as you climb upside down on the family staircase. Light tunnels perfect for the next TikTok trend lead to the most impressive new feature at SNOWDAY, an enormous Ames Room illusion where, as with Alice in Wonderland, you’ll marvel at the changing proportions. There, snap a selfie with Tinsel McJingles, III, SNOWDAY’s most illustrious resident, other than the Big Guy himself.

But not all the new features at SNOWDAY are that big. Savvy guests can seek out a scavenger hunt of minute proportions. Local artist Leneah Bayer has designed a dozen tiny holiday vignettes that are hidden, often in plain sight, throughout SNOWDAY.

As before, custom RFID technology allow SNOWDAY visitors to capture fabulous holiday photos with a touchless technology. Those high-resolution images are immediately sent to the traveler’s mobile device, so they can be shared in real time.
