Description
The alpacas' coats are coming off! Come to TX-Ture Farm in Aubrey, Texas, to celebrate the fleece harvest with demonstrations, local artisans, live music, food and fun activities.
- Alpaca shearing from 9am–1pm. Mark Loffhagen returns from New Zealand and will work with local FFA students and demonstrate the art of shearing.
- Fiber processing: Watch how the fiber is separated and prepared for the mill and then spun into yarn. Fiber artists will be demonstrating needle felting, macramé and more.
- Art/craft vendors & demos: TX-Ture Farm hosts a vendor market of local, handmade arts and crafts.
- Enjoy festival food & beverages, such as local craft beers, Dublin soda and lavender Prosecco.
- Live music from the Silvertones and Jeff and Leah.
- Alpaca yoga at 1pm: Experience yoga, as never experienced before. Yoga with alpacas allows you a full hour, true all levels vinyasa class, outdoors with the alpacas. Heather Liner instructor. $15. Bring your mat if you can.
Kids activities:
- Paca tattoos: Free to children of all ages, while supplies last
- Pictures with Pacas
- Barnyard games: Challenge your friends to a game of barnyard cornhole, jumbo Jenga, or jumbo Connect Four.
- Paca Express barrel train: $5. The kid’s journey begins in the Paca Express Depot, where they receive the golden Paca Express ticket. The Paca Express travels through the Christmas tree farm.
