Thursday, August 9 from 5:30–8:30pm

A special art and crafts project at this Thursday Night at PAAC event take cues from the exhibit Structured Light, an exhibit by Texas Woman's University associate professor Colby Parsons. On view in the Gough Gallery through August 25, the exhibit's use of shadows toys with relationships between virtual light projection and physical ceramics.

Create work à la Parsons at this Shadow Wall Play. Using shadow walls installed around the building, you will play and experiment with making patterns, pictures, and designs.

Guests are provided with a variety of props and craft materials for you to assemble and arrange to your imagination’s delight. With each composition, take a picture. Choose your favorite creation and upload it to social media with the hashtag #GDACShadowPlay.

Every submission will be uploaded to the website where the community will vote on which image they like best. When Structured Light closes, the top pick will be revealed and the creator will win a prize. Presented by the Greater Denton Arts Council.
