Celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 3 at The Sound at Cypress Waters. This event is a calm, inclusive, and joyful environment tailored for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, veterans, and pets. The Sensory Sensitive 4th of July Celebration is a free community event designed to reduce sensory overload while still delivering all the festive fun.

What makes this event special? They’ve reimagined the traditional 4th of July experience with thoughtful modifications for guests who benefit from a sensory-sensitive atmosphere:

No Fireworks: replaced with a stunning Star Spangled Glow, a wearable LED light show
Live Music: featuring Reputation, a Taylor Swift Tribute Band, with controlled sound levels
Interactive Fun: balloon art, face painting, Creature Teacher animal encounters
Pet-Friendly: leashed furry friends are welcome
Calm Zone: a quiet indoor space at Town Hall for anyone needing a break
Autism-Trained Staff: restaurant teams and volunteers are prepared to create a supportive, respectful environment

Event Schedule:
6–8:30pm: Bright Minds Interactive Area open; face painting & balloon artist
6–7pm: Special Entertainment at the Amphitheater (TBA)
7pm: Pet Parade
7:30–9:30pm: Live concert by Reputation (Taylor Swift Tribute)
9:40pm: Star Spangled Glow, a LED Bracelet Light Show
