Description
Dallas-based Frontiers of Flight Museum, a leading institution in the preservation of aviation and space exploration history, knows that museum visits can be tricky for those with sensory issues. For those special guests, the museum will host a private experience from 9am to noon Saturday, Jan. 31, when the museum is closed to the general public.
Sensory-Friendly Day will provide a calm, accommodating environment for guests to explore the 100,000-square-foot museum filled with more than 35,000 exciting aviation and aerospace artifacts, including airplanes from early flight through the modern era and cool space stuff including Apollo 7 Command Module, the only Moon Rock on display in North Texas, as well as Space Shuttle and International Space Station artifacts.
Registration for the event is required, but admission is free. Register on the website at flightmuseum.com/events/sensory-friendly-day/.
