Until further notice, Second Sunday Fundays art activities will presented online with pre-recorded videos and free to-go arts and craft kits available for pick-up at Irving Arts Center. Find inspiration in the gallery exhibitions, holidays and the seasons as families make art, friends and fun. And the best part? It’s free.

Join arts, crafts and activities inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and vision.
Feb. 14: The Art of Collage: Exploring Romare Bearden
Explore the art of Romare Bearden (1911–1988), one of the most well-known African-American artists of the 20th century. Inspired by his colorful and expressive compositions, create your own pieces that reflect the culture, music, people and places of your time.
March 14: Playing with Patterns
Join quilt-inspired art-making activities led by members of the Irving Quilt Guild.
April 11: Our Beautiful Earth
Celebrate Earth Month with arts and crafts activities inspired by nature’s beauty and positive actions you can take to protect your planet.
May 9: Masterpieces with Mom
May 10 is Mother’s Day! Bring your mom, aunt, grandma or other significant person in your life and celebrate this special day by making some amazing art together.
June 13: Summer Splash
Chill out and create a cool work of art inspired by summer fun at the beach and by the pool.
July 11: Sculpt It
Enjoy an exploration of the third dimension by making art with clay and other media.
