Saturdays on the Square

Head to the historic Carrollton square on the second Saturday of every month for family-friendly entertainment. While downtown, don’t forget to stop by one of the many eclectic shops for snacks or make a night of it and grab dinner with the whole family. Saturdays on the Square is a free, reoccurring event in Downtown Carrollton. Each month features a different theme for families to take part in:

March 11, sunset
Outdoor Movie: Sandlot (1993, rated PG): In the summer of 1962, a new kid in town is taken under the guidance of a young baseball prodigy and his rowdy neighborhood team, resulting in many adventures. Wiffle ball will be available starting at 6pm until the movie screening begins. Don't forget your lawn chairs and blankets.

April 11, 6–8pm
Carrollton Critters Celebration: Calling all party animals. The #CarrolltonCritters are turning one. Celebrate the friendly residents of Historic Downtown Carrollton at their birthday party.

May 13, 6–8pm
Game Night: Come hang out, play family-friendly games, and meet new people on the Square. Various board games, cards, yard games, and a 9-hole mini golf course will be provided.

June 10, 6–8pm
Succulent Saturday: Have some plant-friendly fun at this DIY potting bar event. Plants, containers, and accessories will be provided while supplies last.

July 8, 6–8pm
Christmas in July: Enjoy holiday-themed activities during the most wonderful time of the summer. Take a photo with Santa when he makes a pit stop in Historic Downtown Carrollton on his summer roadtrip.

August 12, 6–8pm
Back to School Bingo: Play for a chance to win some back to school essentials, while supplies last.

September 9, sunset
Outdoor Movie: Enjoy a family-friendly movie under the stars. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.

October 14, 5–7pm
Hispanic Heritage Month: Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with live entertainment, games and crafts.

November 11, 5–7pm
Cocoa for Coats: Bring your lightly worn coats and winter garments to the Square as we partner with Metrocrest Services to swap your clothing for a cup of cocoa.

December 9, 5–7pm
Cookie Decorating: Decorate your own Christmas cookie while you shop small for those last-minute gifts in Historic Downtown Carrollton! While supplies last.
