Runway for Rise Event

The fourth annual Runway for Rise Event Will be Held Virtually May 18.

The Ashford Rise School of Dallas will host the fourth annual Runway for Rise, the season's most fun fashion show, virtually on Tuesday, May 18 from 7:30-8:30pm. Because of the pandemic, the event will be held virtually this year, with people able to tune in to view at RunwayForRise.org or on YouTube or Facebook.

Runway for Rise allows the school to introduce its students with and without developmental disabilities through an exciting – and very cute – runway show starring the Rise School students. In addition to the runway show, the event will feature a raffle which people can begin browsing online now to purchase their tickets.

The event will be emceed by Katy Blakey of NBC 5. Longtime volunteers and Rise School supporters Sherry and Barry Rosenberg will be honored with this year’s Heart and Soul Award during the event.

There is no cost to register to watch the event, but donations will be requested. All proceeds from the event will go toward financial aid for the children who attend the Rise School. To register for the event, make a donation and view the raffle items, visit RunwayforRise.org.

Students will walk the runway in clothes generously provided by the following boutiques: A to Z, Dondolo, Little Goodall, Mi Golondrina, Saint Bernard and Small Pockets.
