Prosper Fishing Derby

The annual event is a great opportunity to introduce the kids to the sport of fishing. On Saturday, February 22, 2025, bring your young anglers to the catch-and-release pond at Prosper's Frontier Park.

The free community event is a friendly competition for Most Fish Caught, exclusively for youngsters ages 14 and under. Following the derby, prizes are awarded in the specific age categories.

Registration is not required for the informal morning of family fishing fun and the Derby is offered free of charge to the community. Participants are encouraged to bring their fishing gear, bait, cooler and chair. Complimentary coffee will be provided to take the chill off the morning.
