On Friday, December 23, philanthropist and best-selling author Emberli Pridham holds a holiday event to sign copies of her new charitable children's book, A Real Life Fairy Tale: Princess Diana, at Swoozie's, located at The Plaza at Preston Center in Dallas. Attendance is free, but event organizers ask that you RSVP here on eventbrite.com.
A Real Life Fairy Tale: Princess Diana, illustrated by Danilo Cerovic, is the first in a coming series that introduces children, ages 3 to 8, to globally-renowned women who have used their platform to give back and make a positive impact on the world.
The free event will offer a meet-and-greet with the author and festive snacks and beverages, and welcome families to shop Emberli's book, which makes a great gift that gives back. A portion of the proceeds going to Centrepoint, a UK charity that provides shelter and support to homeless youth and an organization that was important to the woman it features.
Pridham lives in Dallas with her husband, David, and three children, Brooke, Noah and Graham. Before launching the A Real Life Fairy Tale series, Pridham and her husband co-authored If Not You, Then Who?, a series that introduces children to the magical world of inventors and innovations and encourages their own creativity.
Emberli is writing the next two books about inspiring and influential people for the A Real Life Fairy Tale series. (Read her Q&A about the book with CultureMap Austin here.) She spends her time taking care of her beautiful family and is extensively involved in philanthropic work on behalf of the Hasbro Children's Hospital, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Symphony, Elton John AIDS Foundation and American Cancer Society, among other charities.
