The 2022 H-E-B | Central Market Plano Balloon Festival & Run is a three-day weekend at Oak Point Park. The weekend offers something for everyone, entertainment on the FOX 4 community stage and KLUV main stage, fireworks show, kids activities, sky divers, and an enormous variety of food, merchandise and handmade products and, of course, hot air balloons.

The balloons are scheduled to launch Friday at 6pm, Saturday at 7am and 6pm, and Sunday at 7am and 6pm (weather permitting).

For the adventurous, the RE/MAX of Texas parachute teamis scheduled to perform Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons at 5:30pm by jumping from their plane over the park and landing right in the middle of the launch field.

Saturday evening catch the boom, bang, and sight of the spectacular fireworks, presented by Bimbo Bakeries USA. The Festival fireworks show is custom designed and orchestrated by Pyrotex providing an amazing array of colors in the night sky.

Kids Fun Zune
Ticket booths open Friday 4–9pm, Saturday 8am–9pm, Sunday 8am–6pm
Rides open Friday 4–10pm, Saturday 8am–10pm, Sunday 8am–7pm
Enjoy the fun and interactive inflatable rides this year in the Central Market Kids Fun Zone. Race through the obstacle courses, zip down the huge slides, ride the pirate ship or the berry-go-round.

Toddler Zone
Designed with young toddlers in mind, they can experience the fun of inflatables that are just their size. Children can enjoy the creative make and take art activities in the free Kids Korner as they make their way through the different craft stations. Get your face painted and explore music at the Plano Symphony Orchestra instrument area.

10K, 5K and 1K Kids Fun Run
The event is set for Sunday, September 19. The 10K starts at 7am, the 5K at 9am, and the 1K at 10:30am. Plus there will be the Elevate Challenge, which is the 10K followed by the 5K.

Participants in each distance will receive dazzling commemorative finisher medals. When you complete the Elevate Challenge, you'll receive a third bonus medal. Plus all participants in the 10K and/or 5K and adults over the age of 12 in the 1K will receive a gender specific, short sleeve, dry fit style race shirt. Kids 12 and under in the 1K will receive a cape.

Race participants receive a breakfast after the run, free parking, and receive free admission to the festival on race day morning for themselves and one other person.
