First executed in 1979, the Grapevine Chamber and City of Grapevine, with the support of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, work together each year to create the annual Grapevine Parade of Lights, the largest lighted Christmas parade in North Texas. Grapevine offers 40 days of Christmas with more than 1,400 events and activities. Grapevine was officially declared the Christmas Capital of Texas by the State of Texas Senate with Proclamation No. 556 in 2009, signed by Senator Jane Nelson. City staff, along with volunteer citizens and members of the Chamber of Commerce generously provided their time to help install millions of lights and Christmas decorations throughout the city.

Stay tuned for the Twinkle Light Boat Parade on Saturday, December 4 on Lake Grapevine. It's a floating festival of lights on Lake Grapevine with a parade of boats decorated in their finest. This lighted boat parade picks up entries as it circles the lake at each marina, including Scott’s Landing and Silver Lake. The parade is visible along the shores of the lake.
