Achtung, y’all! Oktoberfest Fort Worth is a three-day Munich-style celebration at Panther Island Pavilion where guests enjoy traditional German food, bier, live music, dancing and shopping vendors. The festival kicks off with Thursday’s ceremonial Tapping of the Kegs and the fun continues through Saturday with midway rides, dachshund races, stein hoist competitions, the Oktoberfest Run und Ride and more.
Entertainment will include traditional German music, on multiple stages. New this year, Chardon Polka Band, is a nationally recognized modern polka band bringing polka to a new generation. They will be joined by Oktoberfest Fort Worth fan favorite Alex Meixner and rounding out the set list are other Oktoberfest favorites Alpenmusikaten, Walburg Boys, Das Ist Lustig, Auf Geht’s, Nick Ballarini and Keine Kunst Folk Dance Troupe.
Spaten will be on tap, along with other Fall and Oktoberfest craft beers from around the country. Traditional German food offerings such as bratwursts, pretzels, strudel, schnitzel and German potato pancakes will also be available. Festival goers can enjoy the air-conditioned Spaten Hall as well as multiple outdoor and tented biergartens. Shopping vendors will be on hand with traditional German Lederhosen or Dirndl and a variety of other German accessories.
Back by popular demand is Reata Haus, a unique German pop-up restaurant. Reata Haus offers table-service in the air-conditioned Spaten Halle, authentic German cuisine and a Weinbar for attendees to purchase a glass of wine.
