Description

Tickets are on sale for Fort Worth Oktoberfest, a three-day Munich-style celebration of German culture. Fort Worth Oktoberfest is presented by Spaten and benefits Fort Worth Park and Recreation.

Families with children who enjoy polka music and bratwursts will have a blast at Fort Worth Oktoberfest. Plus, they can enjoy carnival rides and games! Admission for children 12 and under is free with paying adult.

New to the activity lineup, is a brat eating contest, sponsored by Siegi’s Sausage, which will be a part of the Oktoberfest Olympics held on Friday night. Watch various groups compete for local non-profits in this fun spin on German games.

Fort Worth Oktoberfest guests enjoy traditional German food, bier, live music, dancing, shopping vendors and much more. The festival kicks off with Thursday’s ceremonial ‘Tapping of the Kegs’ and the fun continues through Saturday with carnival rides, dachshund races, bier barrel rolling, stein hoist competitions, the Oktoberfest Run und Ride and more.

Entertainment will include German polka and party bands, on multiple stages. This year’s lineup includes Grammy nominated Alex Meixner, Alpenmusikanten, Chardon Polka Band, Das Ist Lustig, Ginny Mac, Mike and the Middletones, Walburg Boys, Nick Ballarini and Keine Kunst Folk Dance Troupe.

Spaten will be on tap, along with other Fall and Oktoberfest craft beers. Traditional German food offerings such as bratwursts, pretzels, strudel, schnitzel and German potato pancakes will also be available. Festival goers can enjoy the air-conditioned Spaten Hall as well as multiple outdoor and tented biergartens. Shopping vendors will be on hand with traditional German Lederhosen and Dirndls and a variety of other German accessories.
