Description
National Aviation Day celebrates the birthday of aviator and inventor Orville Wright, and on Saturday, August 17, guests are come out to Fort Worth Aviation Museum to share birthday cake, join games, make paint-an-airplane crafts, ride in WWII-era Jeeps, and enjoy plenty of photo ops around the museum.
Schedule:
10am: Event and Jeep rides begin
10am–noon: Paint-an-Airplane craft activity, paper airplane games, and plastic model kits for sale
Noon: Cut cake for Orville Wright and hand it out to visitors.
12:30pm: Raffle drawing for Wright Brothers replica briefcase, aviation art, and other items.
1pm: Event and Jeep rides end.
The day also includes a raffle and a model sale. The model kit sale will be at the museum as a part of this National Aviation Day celebration. They'll be posting the models on the museum's Facebook page before the event.
Raffle items include: “Viper Two-Ship” Hank Caruso signed F-16 Print, DC-3 Print by Jason Barnett – 12″ x 8″, a birthday party at the museum, DC-3 Print by Jason Barnett – 18in tall x 24 in, and a Wright Brother’s Leather Briefcase. You can buy raffle tickets at go.rallyup.com.
