Description

The Unicorn’s Birthday, a Sensory-Friendly Concert Celebration, premieres at the Meyerson Symphony Center on Saturday, June 3. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has commissioned Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum award-winning composer, Bob Singleton, to create a brand new sensory-friendly concert.

The Unicorn’s Birthday will be a gentle, fantasy-and-fun-filled symphony experience with terrific music, fun sounds, captivating on-stage activity, friendly graphics and gentle audience interactivity. This concert will be perfect for patrons that are OK with audience activity during the performance and wish to enjoy a memorable orchestra experience without loud, sudden noises or musical tension.

The My DSO Concert is a family-friendly performance with special arrangements made to accommodate the individual needs of people with acute sensitivities. Fidgets, earplugs and eye covers, quiet rooms and brighter lighting in the hall will be available. Join an hour before the performance for pre-concert activities including an instrument petting zoo, local resources and more.
