Mothers’ Milk Bank North Texas Grand Opening

Saturday, May 4, 2–4pm

After a two-year capital campaign and building project, help celebrate the completion of the new location for Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas. Come for the ribbon-cutting, tours through the new facility (the new lab seen from outside the observation windows), kid-friendly games and food trucks. This event will be come-and-go.

Donor milk is thawed and thoroughly mixed; analyzed for fat, protein and lactose; and poured into bottles, which are pasteurized for 30 minutes. The milk is then frozen and shipped to hospital NICUs on dry ice.

Helping Babies Brick by Brick: The front entrance of the new building features engraved pavers from the first brick campaign. For a $100 donation to the More Room for More Miracles capital campaign, you can engrave a brick that will help complete the milk bank's entranceway with a lasting message. This second campaign is open until May 15 and contributions are tax deductible.
