Description

Meow Wolf Grapevine's Phenomenomaly is a first-of-its-kind, live performance spectacle series for the holidays. To celebrate the mysterious migration of the Flickerwerms, The Real Unreal bursts to life with musicians, dancers, and live production each weekend.

Guests will explore the award-winning exhibition while live actors, dancers, musicians, and giant puppets bring the story to life through spontaneous, interactive performances inspired by the mysterious migration of the Flickerwerm: a Meow Wolf creature whose arrival has set extraordinary events in motion across the worlds of The Real Unreal.

Phenomenomaly is live, explorable theater, filling The Real Unreal with movement, music, and connection. Performers move through the exhibition in real time, inviting guests to interact and join scenes that inspire collaborative awe.

Each show repeats across the afternoon, so all ages can step into the story from anywhere in the exhibition. Every weekend will include performances from organizations across North Texas, highlighting the immense creative talent of Texas featuring hip-hop dance offs, circus acts, lion dancing, and opera orations.

At the heart of the performance is the migration of the Flickerwerms, glowing creatures said to drift south for the winter when the portals align just right. Guests will meet the Lil’ Bigg Miss Fitts, a crew of well-meaning werm enthusiasts who need a little help creating the perfect conditions for the migration.

Along the way, the Keepers appear as guardians of the portals, teaching gestures and sounds that activate hidden pathways. When the energy peaks, Mama Flickerwerm arrives in a luminous finale that turns the space into a glowing parade of light, sound, and celebration.
