Experience the Middle Ages as history comes to life at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Arlington Public Library. Fascinating exhibits of medieval arts and sciences will be on display. Live demonstrations of ancient weaponry will be conducted by costumed members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of the Middle Ages.

Medieval facts examiner Troy Depue will be returning for the seventh year to discuss various facets of life in the Middle Ages. He'll also have books available for purchase. Local children’s author Katy Beebe will be reading her book Brother Hugo and the Bear at 1pm.

Grab lunch from food trucks and enjoy stories, games and activities for children. Those in attendance at the Festival will be eligible for door prizes donated by Theatre Arlington, Scarborough Renaissance Festival and Medieval Times. This 16th annual event is entertaining and educational for the whole family.
