Description

Saturday, March 2, 10am–1:30pm

Meet at the Meadows Museum for this free, disability-friendly family day where families can enjoy the museum in a safe and understanding environment, allowing parents to network with one another and children to discover new friends! Through multisensory art, music, and movement activities, children will practice motor and social skills, choice making, and experimentation, all while exploring their own creativity.

Accommodations are made to many spaces and activities increasing accessibility for those with visual impairment, and special materials are available to facilitate the museum experience. Large-print and braille materials will be available and Spanish-speaking volunteers will be present. All are welcome.

To request additional accommodations, please contact Kayle Patton at museumaccess@smu.edu or 214/768-2740 at least one week prior to make arrangements. This program is presented in collaboration with the Blind Children’s Vocational Discovery and Development Program, a division of Texas Health and Human Services.

Free.
