Description
Mayfest is the biggest party in Fort Worth! Four days of live music on three stages, festival food, carnival rides, performing arts, pet adoptions, live demonstrations, stilt walkers, art and gift market vendors, free children's activities, special attractions - the list goes on and on.
2025 Schedule:
Thursday, May 1, 3:30–9pm (free festival admission for all)
Friday, May 2, 3:30–10pm
Saturday, May 3, 10am–10pm
Sunday, May 4, 11am–7pm
Children's Area:
Located in the middle of the festival grounds adjacent to the Dream Park, the Children’s Area is where you will find more than 20 free activities geared toward children ages 3–12. Surrounded by a white picket fence, The Children’s Area is easy to find and hard to leave.
Under the shade trees young patrons can visit a variety of activities including a chalk house, giant sand pit perfect for digging for treasure, crafts, The Fort Worth Fire Department interactive stations, rock-painting, robots, The Children’s Performing Arts Stage, and many other activities will keep you entertained for hours on end. It really is a festival within the festival. Make sure you come early though because The Children’s Area closes each night at 7:30pm.
The baby changing area is located in an air-conditioned trailer within the Children’s Area.
The nursing station for breastfeeding is conveniently located in First Aid within the Oasis Area.
Parking is $20 per car at Farrington Field and $20 per car at Dickies Arena Yellow Lot. The Tram will be running between the festival and both parking lots.
Mayfest is a cashless event, however, the art & gift market vendors may accept cash. The proceeds from each year’s festival are given back to the community in support of programs from three of Mayfest’s founding organizations – The Junior League of Fort Worth, Inc., Streams & Valleys, Inc., and The City of Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department.
