Description

The annual Lunar New Year festival is held at DFW China Town, located in the Richardson CORE District at 400 N. Greenville Ave. The event reflects the city’s growing diversity and commitment to multicultural engagement, and since its launch in 2022, the festival has blossomed into a significant annual event, drawing crowds from across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond.

Festival goers will also enjoy a variety of activities, including origami, yoyo and calligraphy exhibitions and exciting live entertainment, including dragon dancers, lion dancers, martial artists, K-Pop performers, and a dedicated Kids’ Zone will feature face painting, balloon art, inflatables and more.

Entertainment schedule:
11am–3pm: DJ Joshua
11:30am: Kung Fu Demonstration
Noon: K-Pop Tribute
12:30pm: Lion Dancers
1pm: Mayor's Remarks
1:30pm: Dragon Dancers
2pm: Yo-Yo Demonstration
2:30pm: Ms. International Texas Performances and Fashion Show

Throughout the day, attendees can also visit with representatives from community partners and area cultural organizations, including the Dallas Chinese Community Center, the Korean American Coalition, the Japan-America Society, Envision Richardson and the Richardson Public Library.

Festival Parking
Free parking will be available in most area lots and a free shuttle service will be provided to DFW China Town Lunar New Year Event. Dedicated bike parking will also be available. Learn more here.
