Description
Join these free salsa lessons with instructor Amanda Cristina Salsa. This class is meant for beginners and lasts one hour. You'll be dancing Salsa On 2 (Mambo) and will learn the basic salsa step, variations of the basic step, turns, shines, and partner work. No experience, partner, or dance attire is required. Students should wear comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes.
The class begins with a brief warm up, followed by an overview of the basic steps and turns. You'll then practice basic steps and turns to music of different speeds, in order to practice recognizing and following the salsa beat. For the second half of the class, you will learn a short choreography that can either be done individually, or can be applied to partner work.
