Description
OnSunday, May 15 bring your family to this year's Laura Bush Book Club event to celebrate big dreams and the kids who have them. Acclaimed children’s book author Roda Ahmed headlines the program with a reading of Mae Among the Stars and a lively, family-friendly discussion on following your dreams. Mae Among the Stars tells the story of Mae Jemison, whose curiosity and determination as a child led to her becoming the first Black woman to travel into space.
NBC 5 DFW meteorologist Samantha Davies will also be on hand to teach curious kids about one of the phenomena they experience every day: the weather. Don't miss out on this special program for kids of all ages.
