Description
The 20th annual Kiwanis Butterfly Festival will be held at the Keller Lion’s Den September 20 and 21. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a 600-square-foot landscaped mesh tent populated with hundreds of Texas butterflies, along with local flowering plants provided by Mike's Garden Centers.
Butterfly experts will be on hand to answer questions from all ages. Watermelon is provided to allow children of all ages the opportunity to feed and interact with the butterflies.
Also, Pinned Ptera will back this year, offering beautifully mounted insect displays from sustainably sourced specimens from farms & conservatories.
At the conclusion of the event, on Sunday at 5pm, the butterflies will be released. This event will raise funds for local children's charities, including the Cook Children’s.
