Description

Join the annual Juneteenth celebration at Dallas Heritage Village, recently renamed Old City Park. The event includes a ribbon cutting to honor the new name, free admission and free food.

Burgers and vegan food options are available. Entertainment includes will have a tiny train, vendors, and a blacksmith out all day, as well as a special discussion about the Yellow Rose of Texas by acclaimed storyteller Michael Brundy, a special plaque unveiling which honors emancipation in the Gano Farmstead, Black Dallas History tours, and showings of our Soul Rep Theatre film, Harriet Mason Reflections all day long.
