On Saturday, December 10, head to Choctaw Stadium in Arlington for the Jingle Bell Run, a 5K run and 1-mile walk and signature fundraising event benefiting the Arthritis Foundation.
The Arthritis Foundation is an important driver, as it is the single largest private non-profit funder of arthritis research in the world. The Foundation’s mission is to focus on finding a cure and championing the fight against arthritis. To support this mission, over 76% percent of every dollar raised directly supports critical arthritis research, advocacy efforts, and local programs and services.
With your help, the Arthritis Foundation will continue to lead the way in curing arthritis and improving the quality of lives for our loved ones.
Chances are you or someone close to you has arthritis. Arthritis is inflammation of the joints and causes pain and loss of movement. It is an umbrella term for more than 100 diseases and conditions affecting joints, the surrounding tissues, and other connective tissues.
This includes osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, Lyme disease, and more. Nearly 60 million Americans suffer with arthritis, including 300,000 children. Arthritis is the most common cause of disability and costs the US economy over $304 billion annually.
