Gear up for an afternoon of good ole’ BBQ cooking at McInnish Park. From a build-your-own barbecue lunch obstacle course, to watching brave barbecue competitors tackle a pile of meat in our rib eating competition, the inaugural Grilled event is sure to be a fun afternoon for the whole family.
-Build-your-own-BBQ Obstacle Course: Earn your lunch by participating in a series of three obstacle courses. With the completion of the course, you will receive a well deserved barbecue lunch. Adults and children welcome. Course is $5 (lunch included) /BBQ plate will be sold at $7 for non participants.
-Chalk Art: Express yourself with the sidewalk as your canvas. Chalk will be for sale through Chalk for Charity.
-Drone Demonstrations provided by the NE Dallas Speed Addicts.
-Vintage Baseball: Enjoy the nostalgia of an old fashion game at 2pm.
-Rib Eating Competition at 3pm: Watch brave meat eaters take on a pile of ribs for a chance to win our coveted Rib Trophy.
-Bite & Demos Tent 4–6pm: Learn tips and tricks from professional BBQ competitors. Tastings from the Mayberry Memorial Cook-off's Final Competitors will be available for purchase. Entrance into the tent in free.
Texas country music artist Melissa Ratley, with her iconic singer-songwriter style, takes the stage at 4pm.
Free admission. $5 for obstacle course and lunch. BBQ plate will be sold at $7 for nonparticipants.
