Description
Join Capable Minds, Hearts, & Hands: The Potters House IDD Outreach program, which is designed to serve, empower, and involve those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), and their families, friends, siblings, and caregivers.
The Potter's House is committed to making a lasting and meaningful impact in its community and beyond supporting the needs of everyone; we want you to know “You are not alone!” These IDD support groups and custom programming helps to join families together with others who understand their unique challenges and to reinforce the truth of each individual journey.
This group provides a variety of role supported options, in a safe and family-friendly, virtual or in-person environment. The support groups are the “hey girl” place to connect with other moms when you’re on the brink of a meltdown; to learn coping skills, share best practices, and tools for moving your family forward.
It is also a place for dads to have “man-cave” chats with other dads; where he can be himself, tell his truth, learn new strategies, and find peace to lead his family. This group provides a space for brothers and sisters to feel appreciated while understanding the condition of their loved one and learning the important role they play in their family and community.
The Potter’s House IDD outreach is designed to serve, empower, and involve those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), alongside their families and caregivers.
