Description
Join the education staff of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum for a day of learning for homeschool students. Activities include a tour of the museum's permanent exhibition, a Dimensions in Testimony experience, and an interactive classroom program. Register online.
Schedule:
9:30am: Arrival and welcome
10am: Permanent exhibition tours and dimensions in testimony experience
11:30am: Reporting on History activity. Students put on their journalist hats and go back to the 1960s to better understand the Civil Rights movement in Dallas. Thorugh primary sources, from onsite film footage to eyewitness reports, they will write their own front-page news sotry on the Civil Rights sit-in at the Piccadilly Cafeteria.
