Description
On Saturday, December 30, from 1:30pm-3:00pm, come out to Penn Farm at Cedar Hill State Park to explore the lives of the farmers who made North Texas their home.
Living life on the Texas prairie was always an adventure! People persevered through the North Texas winds and summer heat without all the creature comforts we have today. Join Ranger Cody Tatum for this program as we explore the lives of the first farmers to inhabit what is now known as the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and investigate the lives of the Penn family and their farm. This walk will be about 0.6 miles along the Penn Farm trail.
Registration is required. Go online to Reserve America to make your reservation for this program. Bring water and a snack, if you need one. Wear good shoes for walking and dress for the weather.
Learn more about the Penn Farm Agricultural History Center here. Programs are subject to location changes, postponement, or cancellation due to weather.
