The Dallas Arboretum presents its fifth annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration, with the highlight being the Quinceañera Fashion Show on Saturday, September 10. Live entertainment features the energetic Havana NRG! on Saturday, and popular Selena tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda on Sunday. All weekend, visitors can purchase food, shop from dozens of local vendors, watch performances and learn from cooking demonstrations.

Quinceañera participants must be 15 or 16 years old, and they must be accompanied by a legal guardian. There is no fee to enter, and the deadline to sign up with completed paperwork is Aug. 12 (based on space).


10am: Celebration of Quinceañera Fashion and Culture (Rosine Hall)
10am–3pm: Vendor market (Entry Plaza)
10am–4pm: Girl Scouts make and take crafts (near Pecan Grove)
11am–12pm: Colombian cooking demonstration by Chef Dunia Borga of  La Duni Baking Studio (A Tasteful Place)
11:15am: Quinceañera Parade led by Mariachi Rosas Divinas (Paseo & A Tasteful Place)
12–2pm: Rodrigo Garcia performance (Jeanne’s Pavilion)
1–2pm: Mexican American dishes from Chef Sara Carlock of Amor y Queso (A Tasteful Place)
2:30–4pm: Havana NRG! (Rosine Hall)
4–5pm: Flamenca Rumbas and We Sevillanas performance (Jeanne’s Pavilion)

10–11:45am: Peruvian Consulate Performance (Jeanne’s Pavilion)
10am–3pm: Vendor market (Entry Plaza)
11am–12pm: Puerto Rican influences from Chef Isabel Snetsinger of the Dallas Arboretum and Gil’s Elegant Catering (A Tasteful Place)
12–2pm: Henry Muñoz performance (Jeanne’s Pavilion)
1–2pm: Dominican cooking demonstration courtesy of Chef Miriam Jiménez of Miriam’s Cocina Latina (A Tasteful Place)
2–4pm: Bidi Banda, a Selena tribute band, performance (Rosine Hall)
