Help the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with live music, tours, a film screening, art making, and more.

Open Studio Art-Making Activity

Lara Latin: Live Music in the Atrium
Level 1, Hamon Atrium
Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy live Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, and Bachata music in the Atrium. DFW’s Lara Latin band includes Texas-based musicians from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela, South Korea, Mexico, and of course Texas!

2–3pm
Collection Tour Highlights
Level 1, Meet at the Guest Services Desk
Explore the DMA’s four floors of art with a DMA docent and visit some of the highlights of the Museum’s global collection. Whether you are an art history buff or this is your first visit, we can’t wait to talk about art with you!

Tours meet at the Guest Services Desk near the Museum’s Main Entrance and are limited to 30 participants. All ages are welcome.

2–3pm
Film Screening: The Mourning Of, a film by Merced Elizondo
Level 1, Horchow Auditorium
Join Dallas-based filmmaker Merced Elizondo to view a screening of his latest short film, followed by a Q & A session with the actors.
