Description
Girlstart's mission is to encourage and empower girls in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Girlstart's Girls in STEM Conference, taking place at Lake Highlands High School on Saturday, May 13, is a one day event for girls in fourth through eighth grades.
Throughout the day, participants attend hands-on workshops led by women in STEM fields. This is a great way to learn about new careers/fields, make new friends, as well as meeting role models.
