Sunday, July 3
As a warm up to the Independence Day festivities, Frisco hosts several events:
-Hotter 'n Firecrackers 5K & Glow Run: Light up the night as you race through Frisco Square Simpson Plaza, sporting flashing LED lights and their brightest fluorescent gear. Registration from $40.
-Cornhole Tournament: Warm-up starts at 4pm on Simpson Plaza (west side). $40 per team
-Dachshund Races: Registration starts at 6:30pm. Each pup will run 10–15 feet from start to finish with the help of their owners. The $10 entry fee benefits Collin County Animal Shelter.
-Yankee Doodle Poodle Parade - New this year! Dress to impress and show off your Yankee Doodle spirit as you and your pup strut your stuff and compete for prizes. $10 costume contest entry fee benefits Collin County Animal Shelter.
Monday, July 4
Party in the Plaza festivities will feature even more family favorites of the past including a Community Stagewith local dancers, singers and bands; a Children's Expo (all-day play wristband for $25) complete with exciting rides, strolling entertainers and Sports City, USA! Try your hand at fun games honoring most of the professional sports that make their home here in Frisco!
Also returning, Hometown Heroes, showcasing Frisco's finest, the men and women of our Police and Fire departments; a Patriotic Vendor Village - support local businesses and learn about organizations in the community. Join the Classic Car and Motorcycle show where you, the fans pick the favorites.
When you get hungry, try the Taste of Frisco features fare from local food vendors. The skies will light the night with a 20-minute fireworks show at approximately 10pm after the FC Dallas game.
