Free Health Screenings: YMCA Dallas & UT Southwestern

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Health Street are partnering to offer free health screenings for the community during February’s American Heart Month. Tests include cholesterol, A1C, blood pressure, and BMI screening.

The free event is designed to be a resource for individuals who otherwise would not have access to healthcare screenings. By providing the physicians on-site at the Y, participants can implement doctor recommendations immediately with access to the Y’s programming, including fitness classes and the Y’s Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program, which helps adults with hypertension manage their blood pressure at home using proper measuring techniques, individualized support, and nutrition education. In addition, non-Y members will also receive a free pass to use a Y facility.
