Opens Thursday, May 30

The Fort Worth Zoo's new Toyota Children’s Ranch and Petting Corral, held in the former horse and longhorn corral areas of the Zoo’s Texas Wild! exhibit, will feature an expanded area for children to get up close to animals, including goats, sheep and miniature donkeys. Come meet the keepers, pan for "gold" in the mining sluice, brush the goats, and pet and play with other ranch animals.

The development and construction of the Toyota Children’s Ranch and Petting Corral is a separate building project from the Zoo’s $100-million capital campaign, A Wilder Vision, which last year premiered its first phase, African Savanna.

Toyota recognizes the importance of operating in harmony with nature, and through the global Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, seeks to create a net positive impact on the environment. For TMNA, that extends to focusing on biodiversity in North America by protecting native and pollinator species; conserving habitats; and engaging with local communities and partners on conservation and restoration efforts.

Free with admission: $16 adults 13 and older; $12 children 3–12; free for age 2 and younger.

Through June 30: 10am–5pm Monday through Friday and 10am–6pm Saturday and Sunday
