The Firebird was choreographed by artistic director Chung-Lin Tseng and premiered in 2014 to the marvelous music of Igor Stravinsky. The ballet is based on the Russian fairy tale of the Firebird and the blessing and curse it possesses for its owner. Firebird will enchant audience members of all ages. The evening will also include two celebrated pieces "Moldau" and "Mahler," both featuring choreography of the artistic director.
The first performance of Ballet Frontier’s tenth anniversary season is The Firebird at W.E. Scott Theatre in Fort Worth. Ballet Frontier brings back three beloved pieces from its repertoire in this captivating evening of ballet. The ballet company will be performing The Firebird, Moldau and Mahler all featuring the innovative choreography of artistic director Chung-Lin Tseng.

Special guest dancers Marlen Alimanov and Kaityln Potts will be performing in this story ballet. Mr. Alimanov will be dancing the role of Prince Ivan and Ms. Potts will be dancing the lead role of the Firebird. The evening will also include two celebrated pieces choreographed by the Artistic Director, Moldau and Mahler.
