Firebird—A Family Concert

In partnership with Apex Arts League, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will return to White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake to perform a family concert featuring the suite from The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky.

Based on the Russian legend, Stravinsky’s work tells the tale of a bold hero battling dark forces and freeing captive princesses from the clutches of evil by calling on the magical Firebird for aid. Dancers from Ballet Frontier of Fort Worth will accompany the orchestra during the performance. The FWSO will also be performing Benjamin Britten’s “The Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra.”
