Make plans to attend the 15th Annual Festival at the Switchyard on Saturday, November 8 in Historic Downtown Carrollton. The Festival at the Switchyard honors the critical role the railroad played in putting Carrollton on the map and the continuing importance of rail in Carrollton’s present and future.

With free admission, free parking, free rides, free games, and free concerts featuring nationally known bands, the Festival at the Switchyard is a family favorite.

Kids Activities

11am–5pm: Arcade Games and Pinball Machines, located inside the Plaza Arts Center
11am–6pm: Arts and Crafts, including face painting, balloon twisting, and spin art
11am–7pm: Rides and games, includes a zipline, rock climbing wall and game truck

Live Music

The City of Carrollton announces Grammy-award winning talent powerhouse Rick Springfield as the headlining entertainment for the City’s signature event, the 15th annual Festival at the Switchyard. Openers Spin Doctors, Sixpence None the Richer, and Alien Ant Farm will round out this star-studded roster of rockers on Saturday, November 8 in Downtown Carrollton.

Location and Parking

The event is held on the streets of Downtown Carrollton, situated off IH-35E at Belt Line Road, just steps away from the DART Green Line Downtown Carrollton station. Parking will be extremely limited, so guests are encouraged to park and ride the DART Green Line to the Downtown Carrollton Station (regular charges apply; visit dart.org/fares). Handicap parking will be available at 1000 W. Belt Line Road, just east of the festival grounds and is also available at all DART stations.
