Celebrate the power of creativity and all the ways you make in this fun-filled day of free activities for the entire family. Go on family tours, watch performances, join kids' activities and more. Check out the full schedule at dma.org/programs-family-programs/family-festival.

At 2pm, don't miss Arts & Letters Live BooksmART event in the Horchow Auditorium with Caldecott Honor artist and six-time Pura Belpré winner Yuyi Morales. She shares her personal story through her picture book Dreamers. In 1994 she left her home in Xalapa, Mexico, and came to the U.S. with her infant son. She left behind nearly everything she owned, but brought her strength, passion, hopes, dreams, and stories with her.

Dreamers is a story about family, making a home in a new place, and the inspiration found in stories and libraries. This interactive presentation is largely in English but incorporates some Spanish. Free tickets available online in advance at DMA.org/all. 100+ tickets will be available the day of the festival and are first-come, first-served at the Will Call Desk near Horchow Auditorium beginning at 11am.
