Description

Día de los Niños is a nationally recognized celebration for children all over the world. The goal of this event is to encourage children from all cultural backgrounds to come together for an afternoon of multicultural activities.

The Arlington Public Library invites families to celebrate Día de los Niños (Children’s Day) on Saturday, April 30 at the East Library and Recreation Center. Take home free kids' books and more items given away during the event. The Grace Hula dancers are doing a special performance.

Enjoy the celebration with crafts and games at this come-and-go event. There will be multilingual story times in Portuguese, Swahili and Vietnamese. Don’t miss the The Bubble Bus provided by Amigos en Azul and firetrucks from Lonestar Bomberos. Enjoy free hot dogs donated by District 2 Council member Raul Gonzalez and paletas from Sol Días.

Tarrant County Public Health will be on-site to administer Covid-19 vaccines and booster shots, with Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson available. Please see the CDC's vaccine recommendations for children here.
