Earth Day Celebration Highland Village

Meet at The Shops at Highland Village's Central Park for an Earth Day celebration! This event will feature earth-friendly vendors and products, demonstrations, and kids activities.

Kids activities will include: seed planting, creating bird feeders out of recyclable materials, and sidewalk chalk art.

Vendors will include:
- Turncompost: demonstrating residential composting techniques and services.
- Usefull:  Dallas based company specializing in bulk beauty product refills.  Products will be available to purchase.
- Denton County Master Gardeners Association: Discussing gardening techniques and showing drought resistant plant options for our hardiness zone.
- Texas Master Bee Keeper Program:  Bringing an observational hive and bee keeping tools.
- Carrie Simpson:  Children' book author who will be doing book readings of, "Oh! No!  I Swallowed a Seed!" She will have her book and T-shirts available for purchase.
- Learning Express:  Offering environmentally focused toys for sale.

In addition, a home chicken coop owner will showcase his chickens and chicks, as well as give away tree saplings to attendees who would like to plant a new tree at home.
