Additional Information

The Hughes Family Tribute Center presents its sixth Día de los Muertos Celebración on Monday, November 2 at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, which is the site of Bonnie Parker's grave. The cemetery, located in the Bachman Lake area, is traditionally visited by families on Día de los Muertos.

The celebración builds on this tradition by presenting an opening parade; dance performances by Grupo Pakal, specializing in Mayan dance presentations, live mariachi music; children’s entertainment, and food and beverage concessions. The celebración is free and open to the public.

Performance schedule:
Tharpo the Clown and Stilt Walkers from 3–4pm
Opening parade at 4pm
Music and dance performances from 4:30–5:30pm

Covid-19 safety note:
Throughout this developing situation, the Hughes Family Tribute Center continues to monitor and follow both CDC and local public health official guidelines. The cemetery is an outdoor venue, and guests will be asked to wear face coverings and to socially distance. Hughes Family Tribute Center, one of the few family-owned and operated funeral homes remaining in Dallas, was recently awarded, for the fifth year in a row, the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Pursuit of Excellence Award.
