Description

Join the Farmers Branch Historical Park (fbhistoricalpark.com) for an intimate celebration of the Day of the Dead also known as Día de los Muertos. Festivities include tapas and dessert, elotes, a signature cocktail, aguas frescas, cinnamon hot chocolate, traditional décor, music, education about the holiday, and honoring the deceased. Sign up for adult tickets and children's tickets, and visit the Facebook event for updates.

Day of the Dead festivities also include a stroll throughout the Farmers Branch Historical Park with altars at several of the historic structures as you "encounter" spirits from the past. Attendees are invited to bring a duplicate photo or memento to lay at the community altar to honor their loved one.

The Farmers Branch Historical Park is a historic house museum nestled on 27 acres that traces more than 175 years of proud Farmers Branch history.  Our museum complex consists of over a dozen structures, two original to the property, with the remaining from Farmers Branch, surrounding communities, or reconstructed at the park.   These historic buildings represent the time period of 1840-1940.

Welcoming approximately 100,000 visitors each year, the Historical Park offers many opportunities from guided tours and educational programs to activities and special events.   There are rental facilities available, and even a historic base ball team. The mission of the Historical Park is to collect, preserve, interpret and celebrate the history of the United States and Texas with an emphasis on Peters Colony and Farmers Branch.
