DanceAfrica, a festival of African arts and culture, touches your spirit as dancers and drummers ignite the stage, presented by Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Internationally renowned guest artist and Washington, D.C.-based Step Afrika! celebrates the historic connection between traditional South African dance and the art form of stepping, a ritual for African American fraternities and sororities across America. Tickets from $35 for the evening stage performances Oct. 5–6.
On Saturday, Oct. 6 enjoy the day-long DanceAfrica Marketplace & Festival from 10am–3pm with mainstage performances, fun and games for the entire family. Free.
